Monday, August 2nd, the Brethren of Arts & Sciences Lodge will file the necessary paperwork with the Grand Secretary of Ohio to request a charter empowering them to act as a subordinate Lodge under the Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of Ohio.

The Lodge has met regularly since October under the authority of a dispensation from Grand Master Terry W. Posey.  As of July 29, the Lodge will have conferred the three degrees of Symbolic Masonry at least twice each in conformity to the rules of the Grand Lodge, initiating and passing two candidates and raising one.  On April 29, the Grand Master made an official visit and witnessed the conferral of the Fellow Craft Degree.

If the activities of the Lodge meet with the approval of the Committee on Charters & Dispensation, the Grand Master could choose to issue a charter at the 201st Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of Ohio to be held in Dayton on October 15 & 16, 2010.
